 Gliding used
to be the sport in Europe that gathered all the flying enthusiasts. It is
reasonable, needs a lot of teamwork, energy, discipline and willingness
to give rather than take. Gliding in Europe
contributed to a lot of great developments in aviation.
The use of modern material (like fiber glass,
carbon fiber) and the enhanced knowledge about aerodynamics in gliders
contributed a lot to the aviation industry.
The Philippines is a poor developing
country. Lots of people are excited about flying, but will never be able
to afford to learn how to fly. There will be a high demand in pilots in
the next decades and gliding is a good start to get the basics in
aviation.
My plan is to teach
youngsters here at low costs.
Anybody interested in gliding can come and visit us. We operate mostly
over weekends in dry season. You can pitch up your tent at the airfield
or stay in a resort in a little town nearby.
